For a kitten
How do I check plants, flowers, and food before my kitten finds them?
Look up the plant, flower, or food before you set it down. If you cannot name it, keep it out of reach.
Check the plant, flower, or food before you set it down. A kitten can chew a leaf or lick a plate before you cross the room.
At the door, name the plant or flower before it stays in the room. Lilies, including pollen, do not belong where a kitten can reach them. If you cannot name it, do not leave it there.
In the kitchen, onions, garlic, grapes, chocolate, xylitol, and human medication stay off the floor and off counters they can reach.
In Borzi, look up the name before they can reach it. If you do not know the name, a photo check is a second look. A photo can miss a lookalike. If you are still unsure, keep it out of reach.
A room check is a second look at the space you have. It does not decide the room is safe. If they already chewed or swallowed something, call a vet or a pet poison control line. Do not make them vomit unless a vet tells you to.

Look closer if

- They have trouble breathing.
- They vomit repeatedly.
Ask a vet if one of these shows up. This is not a diagnosis.
The answer stays free. Borzi can look up a plant, flower, or food and keep that check with your kitten. It does not decide the item is safe.
