For a kitten

Is my kitten growing at a healthy rate?

You can't tell from one weigh-in. Use the same scale, about once a week, around the same time of day. Then look at this week next to last week.

The breed curve in Borzi shows where a lot of cats of that breed sit. Your kitten does not have to sit on that line. How old they are, what they eat, and whether they just came home all change the number.

Don't copy another kitten's weekly gain. If you are worried, take the weights to your vet and ask them to look at growth and body condition.

Borzi can keep the weights and put them next to the breed curve. It will not tell you the kitten is growing at a healthy rate.

How to weigh

Look closer if

Ask a vet if one of these shows up. This is not a diagnosis.

Add your kitten for age-specific guidance

This page stays free. Borzi can store the weights with your kitten. It will not decide growth is healthy.
