For a kitten
Can kittens drink milk?
No. Do not give a kitten cow's milk as a drink.
Many cats do not digest the lactose in cow's milk well. It can upset the stomach and cause loose stool.
Offer water. Feed a complete and balanced food labeled for kittens.
Cow's milk is not kitten formula. If the kitten is still too young for solid food and is not nursing, they need a kitten milk replacer made for kittens. Ask a vet or the rescue before you use it. Do not mix a homemade milk recipe.
If you already put a saucer down, take it away.
What to offer
- Water, not cow's milk.
- A complete food labeled for kittens.
- Kitten milk replacer only if a vet or the rescue says they still need milk.
- If a saucer is already out, take it away.
Look closer if
- Loose stool after milk.
- They vomit.
- They skip meals.
Ask a vet if one of these shows up. This is not a diagnosis.

The answer stays free. Borzi keeps the feeding note with your kitten. It does not decide milk made them sick.
